TERMS & CONDITIONS

  1. Acceptance of Terms

By using any service provided by Lux Elite Logistics, the customer agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. By proceeding with our services, the customer confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms in full. Continued use of our services constitutes ongoing acceptance.

  1. Scope of Services

Lux Elite Logistics provides courier and logistics services, including but not limited to:

• USA to Jamaica shipping services
• Air freight services
• Online shopping assistance and order placement
• China sourcing and shipment services
• Warehousing and package handling
• Office delivery services for Sutherland employees
• Pickup and drop-off services
• Third-party courier delivery where applicable

Lux Elite Logistics reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any service at its discretion without prior notice.

  1. Shipping Schedule

Lux Elite Logistics ships multiple times weekly. Shipping schedules are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to customs processing, airline schedules, inspections, weather conditions, government regulations, or other factors beyond our control.

  1. Service Areas

Primary Service Locations:

• Mandeville Town Area
• Sutherland Employees
• Ward Avenue Drop-Off Location
• Kingsland Drop-Off Location

General Location:
Mandeville, Manchester, Jamaica

Delivery outside these areas may be facilitated through third-party couriers at the customer's expense.

  1. Shipping Rates

Standard Shipping Rates:

1 lb – JMD $750
2 lbs – JMD $1,500
3 lbs – JMD $2,100
4 lbs – JMD $2,580
5 lbs – JMD $2,900
6 lbs – JMD $3,480
7 lbs – JMD $4,060
8 lbs – JMD $4,360
9 lbs – JMD $4,905
10 lbs – JMD $5,450

Packages over 10 lbs:
JMD $500 per pound

Sutherland Employee Special Rates:

• 10% discount on all shipments up to 10 lbs
• JMD $480 per pound for shipments over 10 lbs

Sutherland employee discounts apply only to verified employees through our website tagging and verification system.

  1. Online Shopping Assistance

Lux Elite Logistics offers online shopping assistance and order placement services.

Service Fees:

• Orders under JMD $10,000 – JMD $1,500 service fee
• Orders over JMD $10,000 – JMD $2,000 service fee

Customers must:

• Provide accurate item details
• Pay all costs upfront before order placement
• Confirm products before purchase

Lux Elite Logistics is not responsible for:

• Vendor delays
• Wrong items shipped by vendors
• Size or color discrepancies
• Product defects
• Vendor cancellations
• Refund processing delays

All refund and exchange matters remain between the customer and the vendor.

  1. Responsibility, Risk & Liability

All shipments are transported at the customer's own risk.

Lux Elite Logistics assumes limited liability for loss, damage, delay, or errors relating to shipments.

Lux Elite Logistics is not responsible for:

• Vendor errors
• Incorrect shipping information provided by customers
• Packages lost before arriving at our warehouse
• Delays caused by airlines, customs, or third-party carriers
• Natural disasters or force majeure events

  1. Packaging & Fragile Items

Lux Elite Logistics is not responsible for damage caused by inadequate packaging by vendors or senders.

Fragile items including:

• Electronics
• Glass items
• Liquids
• Cosmetics
• Breakable goods

are shipped entirely at the customer's risk.

  1. Prohibited & Restricted Items

Customers must comply with all Jamaican and international shipping regulations.

Prohibited items include:

• Illegal drugs and controlled substances
• Firearms and ammunition
• Weapons
• Explosives and hazardous materials
• Flammable substances
• Counterfeit goods
• Pornographic materials
• Perishable foods
• Live animals
• Cash and negotiable instruments
• Any item prohibited by customs authorities

Any prohibited item may be confiscated, destroyed, or surrendered to authorities without refund.

  1. Customs, Duties & Government Charges

Customers are solely responsible for:

• Customs duties
• GCT and taxes
• Government fees
• Inspection fees
• Additional customs charges

Lux Elite Logistics is not responsible for customs delays, inspections, seizures, penalties, or government actions.

  1. Payments

Accepted payment methods may include:

• Bank Transfer
• Cash
• Online Payment Options

All payments must be made in full before shipment release or service processing.

Payments become non-refundable once processing has commenced.

  1. Claims & Complaints

All claims must be submitted in writing within 48 hours of package collection or delivery notification.

Supporting documentation may include:

• Purchase invoices
• Shipping receipts
• Photographs of damaged items

WhatsApp messages do not constitute an official claim unless accompanied by supporting documentation.

  1. Storage & Uncollected Packages

Customers will be notified once packages arrive.

Packages not collected within 14 days may incur storage fees.

Packages remaining unclaimed for more than 60 days may be:

• Auctioned
• Donated
• Disposed of

to recover storage and administrative costs.

Outstanding balances remain the responsibility of the customer.

  1. Cancellations

    Cancellation requests must be made before shipment processing begins.

    Service fees may still apply for work already completed.

    Lux Elite Logistics reserves the right to cancel services at its discretion.

  2. Rewards & Loyalty Program

    Lux Elite Logistics may offer rewards, loyalty benefits, promotions, and discounts.

    All rewards programs are subject to separate program rules and may be modified or terminated at any time without notice.

  3. Amendments

    Lux Elite Logistics reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.

    Changes become effective immediately upon publication on our website, social media platforms, or customer communication channels.

  4. Entire Agreement

    These Terms and Conditions constitute the complete agreement between Lux Elite Logistics and its customers and supersede any previous agreements or understandings.

Package Collection & Customs Policy

Customers are required to collect their packages within 5 business days of receiving notification that their shipment has arrived.

A storage fee of JA$100 per day will be charged starting on the 6th business day. If the package remains uncollected after 7 days, the storage fee will increase to JA$200 per day until the package is claimed.

Packages that remain unclaimed for 2 months after arrival may be deemed abandoned and may be sold, auctioned, disposed of, or otherwise handled at the company's discretion. Any deposits, shipping charges, storage fees, or related payments made on these shipments are non-refundable.

Customs & Invoice Requirements

A valid and accurate invoice is required for every shipment to facilitate customs clearance and billing. Failure to provide an invoice, or submitting an invoice that is inaccurate, incomplete, or does not reflect the true value of the goods, may result in the package being assessed and valued by a Customs Officer.

Any duties, taxes, penalties, delays, storage charges, or additional costs arising from missing or inaccurate documentation will be the sole responsibility of the customer.
